Last night, Call of Duty: Ghosts launched to the masses the world over, and it just so happens that there was a launch event in Johannesburg whereby the public could attend, which made things rather busy. Of course G3AR was there to attend the event in force with Valshen, Jarred, Garth, David and myself attending the event. Why you ask? Well, someone needed to show the crowd how to drink a beer or two… but we left that honour to Garth and David (as can be seen in the images below). Those lucky enough bagged some Limited Edition Call of Duty: Ghosts Monster drinks, which hosted a unique DLC code and there were some fantastic snacks… which Valshen and I got acquainted with.
The real star of the event was an 8-man LAN that saw participants battling it out in a game of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in their efforts to secure a Drift HD camera. After several rounds, the top eight players made their way to the final whereby they played a Call of Duty: Ghosts map – it was afterall midnight! The man victorious, we believe, goes by the name of Wade (we stand to be corrected) and walked away with his prize in awe of the onlookers.
All in all, a fun night catching up with fellow gamers and friends and there were some great refreshments to boot. Oh, and did we mention that David worked his magic with the promo ladies? Yes, never underestimate David.
