Call of Duty: Ghosts reveal to happen this week

A rumor a day keeps the doctor away so here’s today’s rumor fix. Call of Duty: Ghosts was recently leaked by Tesco and Target last week. The online listing for the game has since been removed but a photo display blueprint has been sent to IGN that suggests promotional material is ready to go out to stores to be put up on May 1st. It is highly unlikely that posters and the like would go up to advertise the game if it has not been revealed yet, which leads us to think that  an official reveal of the game will happen this week.

Another interesting piece of information is the text that went with the leaked listing that suggests that the game will be running on a new next generation engine. So does that mean the next Call of Duty will be on next generation consoles as well? Check the text from the listing below and keep your eyes open as this week should see some interesting Call of Duty news.

The franchise that has defined a generation of gaming is set to raise the bar once again with the all-new Call of Duty: Ghosts. Published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, the studio that created the original Call of Duty and the seminal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. Call of Duty: Ghosts ushers in the next generation of the franchise, delivering a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast, all powered by a new next-generation Call of Duty engine.”

Gaming runs through my veins, well that and ...erhm deoxygenated blood... I guess, but there is an equal gaming to oxygen ratio pumping through me. It keeps me going, its what I love, and I wish I was doing it right now.

If it wasn’t would this be COD???? this is why I play games like Red Eclipse they aren’t generic and I acctualy enjoy it (unlike COD)

forgot to mention that the only game where gameplay should have remained exactly the same instead of changing is FEAR I played 2 but 3 was disappointingly c#@p in comparison to one of my top ten games (can’t think of other examples but Max Payne 3 needed to include Mona saxx as she survived in nr2, they also left out on the best story telling method ever IMO)

Lets just say Ghost might return…plus i ain’t even a fan of Call Of Duty(Medal of Honour,Battlefield,Tom Clancy and far cry fan). The only thing i don’t like about C.O.D is that there is too much shooting(fine,i get it’s an fps and fps are mainly shooting but not like this) there are no peaceful moments in C.O.D. Where you wall around look at the world and not worry about who is at the next corner. It’s like you playing a Michael Bay directed game action,one-way…call me what you want but thats my view on this C.O.D

If they are planing to just reveal the game they wasting their time. We already know about it. Let’s hope for some gameplay

Probably more of the same. I will be impressed if they innovated on the existing formula and changed the game up a bit. But not sure if you really can do so without sacrificing gameplay or the enjoyment of the series past.
