A rumor a day keeps the doctor away so here’s today’s rumor fix. Call of Duty: Ghosts was recently leaked by Tesco and Target last week. The online listing for the game has since been removed but a photo display blueprint has been sent to IGN that suggests promotional material is ready to go out to stores to be put up on May 1st. It is highly unlikely that posters and the like would go up to advertise the game if it has not been revealed yet, which leads us to think that an official reveal of the game will happen this week.
Another interesting piece of information is the text that went with the leaked listing that suggests that the game will be running on a new next generation engine. So does that mean the next Call of Duty will be on next generation consoles as well? Check the text from the listing below and keep your eyes open as this week should see some interesting Call of Duty news.
The franchise that has defined a generation of gaming is set to raise the bar once again with the all-new Call of Duty: Ghosts. Published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, the studio that created the original Call of Duty and the seminal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. Call of Duty: Ghosts ushers in the next generation of the franchise, delivering a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast, all powered by a new next-generation Call of Duty engine.”
