2K won’t be at E3 this year either…

It seems that Nintendo are not the only folks who are reducing their presence at E3 this year, 2K Games has gone Ninty one better and won't have a booth on the show floor in 2013. A post from the official 2K Games blog reads:
While 2K will not have a booth on the show floor at this year’s E3 conference, we will have a lot of great news coming your way this spring."
2K's parent company Take Two will be present for business meetings but it seems that they're restricting the gaming news to online releases. 2K will be releasing info on upcoming titles via Twitch and YouTube, which is a very similar stance to the one being taken by Nintendo who are opting for the Nintendo Direct events instead of a large press conference. If this develops into a widespread trend then the E3 event might be in a bit of trouble.

Its all a part of the cost cutting exercises sweeping every industry at the moment… Its an expensive exercise showing at E3, when in reality they will get the same amount of coverage for free over the web…

  • Sorry to guys who already bought tickets

Every year THQ had WWE at E3, and now they bankrupted. 2K is going to break that tradition with WWE 2K14 and save money lol.
