Splinter Cell dev talks stealth in new video

Splinter-Cell-Black-E3-2012-Microsoft

A lot of fans have voiced concerns that Sam Fisher will be as stealthy as a two-ton elephant leading a marching band in the next Splinter Cell game. From what we have seen from game footage it does seem that Sam has forgotten that silence is supposed to be golden and instead has opted for an all-out assault approach that would make John Rambo look like a member of a League of Shadows ninja.

Watch the interview with lead developer Maxime Beland as they talk about the concept of being a ghost, and how important it is to not be seen or heard. These oncepts we have yet to see in footage from Splinter Cell :Blacklist but hopefully some stealth video will surface soon. Watch the interview that takes place in the long white hallway from the second Matrix movie below now.

Thanks for this vid man, I’m glad to see they’re actually talking about playing as a silent ninja type. I doubt they’ll release any vids though, publishers and devs seem to think a video where nothing happens won’t make the game sell well.

I want it to be more like the first Splinter Cell titles. If not, I’m not interested.
