…we’re lying. (The Nintendo tag should’ve given it away… c’mon!)
Instead we’d like you to turn your attention to something that’s happening this weekend. JHB Gamers will be running an event in conjunction with Nintendo for all gamers in Johannesburg and the surrounding regions. At this event you’ll be able to get some hands-on time with the newly-released Nintendo 3DS XL as well as games that has just hit shelves. Others will be glad to hear that two Nintendo 3DS XL units will be given away on the day, but you have to attend to stand a chance.
If you would like to attend please follow Nintendo’s every move on the Nintendo 3DS XL Launch page where you can find all the details on the event page (11:00 this coming Saturday – if you’re wondering if you can make it) or go here to register for the event. G3AR will be there, as well as those douches from Lazygamer (just joking, they’re alright… kinda…) and you’ll meet one or two other celebs who’ll be attending the event.
Multiplayer Mario Kart 7 races will take place and should you wish to join you must just bring your 3DS along. Should you not own one we’re sure that there will be one or two handhelds floating about. You don’t need the game as it can be shared to all users from the one 3DS card.
The public never gets to attend console launches, so this here is your chance.

Wow – didn’t see the tag, only that Half Life 3 was confirmed. My heart rate sped up ever so slightly and a smile formed, where a frowny face had been (I’m at work…that explains the frown) and for a few seconds, a brief moment of euphoria swept over me and I was happy. I mean…I was actually happy at this…ahem, *cough* …news.
Then, I read the article and as quickly as it had swept over me, that euphoria was washed out to sea. A sea of sadness. 0_o and lack of a new Half Life title. But, I can appreciate the troll…*throws Special Edition game at G3ar…without the dlc!* …*gasp!*
