Acti publishing another FPS – with zombies

Activision will be publishing a new shooter, this one based on The Walking Dead TV series. This doesn’t have anything to do with Telltale’s Walking Dead adventure game series though, the FPS will be created by developer Terminal Reality.

The story will revolve around character Daryl and Merle Dixon, with players controlling Daryl while taking a combat versus stealth approach to the zombie menace. Activision has said, “No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new, post-apocalyptic world.” A general lack of supplies and possibly-helpful, possibly-harmful NPCs seem to be characteristics of the game, which makes it sound very Resident Evil.

You can check out the official website here, where there is a trailer and little else. The title is expected in 2013 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

I hope the game will be more like the TV series and show Daryl’s life before, during and after the outbreak

  This one will be based before the TV series, as far as I know. Doubt it will head into the episodes that have been broadcast already.

This will be quite fun I think. The walking dead series is very cool!

I wonder if this fps game where you kill zombies will have a bonus survival map (or dlc or w/e) where you kill waves of normal soldiers in survival mode?

call of duty-world at war anyone? lol
