The Amazing Spider-Man is set for release this Friday for PS3 and Xbox 360 but the PC version has been delayed for 6 weeks and will only be available on Steam on 10 August 2012. The Steam version will come packed with achievements but it’s still an unwelcome surprise for PC gamers eager to go swinging through Manhattan’s skyline.
The date is confirmed on the official site and is no doubt due to piracy concerns but since the game requires Steam to play those concerns are, for the most part, unfounded. PC gaming has evolved thanks to platforms like Steam but sadly it is still seen as the most vulnerable platform.
