3DS XL Circle Pad Pro…Nintendo, are you serious?

circle pad

Hey guys, remember when every single fan of the original Nintendo 3DS complained about the lack of a second thumb stick? And then they released the Circle Pad Pro that relied on separate batteries to power it, and everyone was so angry and thought it was shocking of Nintendo to make us rely on such an ugly attachment? We all laughed afterward and said “Well they have heard our cries for help so when a redesign of the 3DS comes along there is no way they would overlook it a second time”.

Then the 3DS XL was announced and the world dropped their collective mouths in disbelief. The 3DS XL has no second thumbstick, it is just a larger version of the original design.Well don’t worry guys because you can now fork out more money on an even bigger and uglier Circle Pad Pro to snap on your now even bigger Nintendo 3DS XL .When snapped on the experience will be similar to holding a 42-inch plasma TV in your hands because of the over-the-top design. Nintendo may have just lost the handheld war because unless you are still rocking a moon bag (or fanny pack, in some countries) around your waist (I am and yes it is still cool) or a backpack there is no way this thing is coming with you anywhere.

The one good thing from all this is that we can now point and laugh at anyone we see playing the new 3DS XL with its awesome Circle Pad Pro attachment. To now opt for this offering instead of a Vita you must be one silly person or just really stylish because you still rock the moon bag. Feel free to bro-fist the screen now (carefully) if you still do.

Yup, just like I commented in the previous article. I knew this would happen. For the supposed ‘innovators’ of casual, fun gaming, they sure are screwing this one up.

Damn thats a really idiotic move. I’m still contemplating getting the Circle Pad Pro for my 3DS, but the chances are slim.

And releasing a 3DS XL now is really puzzling to me. Dont they want the 3DS to sell better before they condemn it.
