Dragon’s Dogma is getting a sequel

dragons dogma 6

Capcom has announced that Dragon’s Dogma has shipped over one million copies worldwide. Also Capcom confirmed it as being the fastest selling new IP to come out of Japan in over ten years, based on its first week of sales. Since the game seems to be in high demand Capcom are going to not only do a sequel but expand on the title with several games to be released in the future.

If you have never heard of Dragons Dogma before, it is an action RPG that sees you hacking up trolls giant monsters in a Shadow of the Colossus style of gameplay. You get additional party members that follow you around and you can customize just about everything from the type of perfume your character wears to how long their toe nails are (not really, but it is pretty in-depth). For more details on this great new IP check out our review out here .

Can’t believe Dragon’s Dogma has sold so well! It seems people either loved or hated this game (I’m in the latter category here). Pity sales figures don’t show how many people actually liked the game after they bought it.

Ya it isn’t for everyone, it plays way more arcadey than say skyrim, a hit or a miss like you said.

Well, it’s only an announcement, the game must have exceeded their sales expectations by quite a margin. Good to see a new IP do well, so many are failing.
