We have a Horizon screenshot or two Forza

Forza-horison-feature

Playground Games have been so secretive about their upcoming project that the reveal of it being a Forza spin-off, named Horizon, caught everyone by surprise just a few weeks ago.

The team of Forza Horizon is made up of the best of the best in the racing genre and mostly hail from the following developing studios:

  • CodeMasters (Dirt, Grid, F1)
  • Bizarre Creations (Blur, Project Gotham Racing)
  • Ubisoft Reflections (Driver San Francisco)
  • Rockstar North (Grand Theft Auto)
  • Criterion (Burnout, Need for Speed: Hotpursuit)
  • BlackRock Studio (Split/Second)
  • Slight Mad Studios (Need for Speed: Shift)
  • Sony London (Wipeout)

That’s some serious talent right there. Below you can see the first in-game image and the cover art.

Married to a gamer wife who kicks my ass at most shooters I don't take myself very serious. Mario, Kratos, Master Chief, Modern, Retro, Arcade - I live for games, it's as simple as that.

What is Horizon actually about? What differs from the usual Forza fare?

That’s what nobody can tell you at this point. I’ve been following the progress very closely while they were recruiting the artists, engineers, etc and I’ve got this feeling that it’s the next evolution of Test Drive Unlimited in some way. I’m highly excited for this.

Okay, will to have to wait and see then. Not the biggest racer fan out there, but enjoyed Dirt 2 and Forza 3 recently.

I want this games love child. No need for foreplay either, just jam the disk straight into the drive.

Same here. I don’t pass up on the racing game genre, have to play this to see what they’ve done, tried to do, whatever. I will buy it :-) or maybe win it somewhere :-)
