Michael Ancel confirms BG & E 2 being worked on

Michael Ancel, creator of Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil, has confirmed in a recent video interview (translated by NeoGaf)with Toulouse Game that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is being worked on. The bad news is that it isn’t likely to release any time soon.

Ancel said that the team working on the title are “in an active creation stage” but by the sound of things we may have to wait until another generations of consoles is released before getting another visit from Jade and co.

I can say that it’s a very ambitious game and we need some tech to achieve that ambition. We focus on the game. We create it first, then we’ll see what can run it. We don’t say 2013 because we don’t know when it will come. We’re working to create a great game and it needs more tech.”
