Bayonetta sequel may not be canned

Bayonetta Head

Bayonetta and Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya has hinted that there is some news regarding the apparently cancelled Bayonetta sequel. It may not be all that cancelled after all. Or the gun-slinging witch will be appearing in another title. Or it is all a bit of a joke on Kamiya’s part.

Fans on Twitter were querying the status of the sequel and, following initial responses to direct their queries to SEGA, Hideki eventually answered one fan with the words “Next week’s game magazines.” Whether this is a hint that a Japanese mag will have more to say on the sequel is uncertain, it is just as likely that the Platinum Arts dev is teasing an appearance in the upcoming Namco-SEGA-Capcom crossover 3DS title Project X Zone. Or just teasing.

We’ll have to wait and see. Kamiya is known for teasing fans via Twitter from time to time so getting our hopes up may be unwise. If a sequel is confirmed next week however, maybe fans will be able to get on his case about a second Vanquish. Please?

Yeah I’m more interested in a sequel to Vanquish. That game was mental!
