Codemasters have released a demo of its upcoming racer DiRT: Showdown. The demo features a single player race set on the ‘8 ball’ track which is a derby race track. This race can be played either in single player or in a two player versus mode. Once a two player versus race has been played the demo will unlock the ‘Rampage’ multiplayer mode which supports up to eight players.
The demo can be downloaded for PC from www.dirtgame.com and players are invited to sign up to RaceNet which is a free online service that allows players to track race statistics of themselves and their rivals. The demo is of course also available on PSN and Xbox LIVE. Players who sign up to RaceNet during its current beta period will get $20,000 in-game currency to use when DiRT: Showdown is released on 25 May 2012.
