Asus has officially launched its Z77 based Sabertooth motherboard which supports Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors. The Sabertooth Z77 has a new Thermal Armor design which has improved VRM cooling as well as an upgraded Thermal Radar that now boasts a function called Fan Overtime which is intended to prevent overheating after shutdown.

The Sabertooth Z77 has three PCI-E x16 slots (x16 or x8/x8/x4), eight SATA ports (two SATA 6Gbps, four SATA 3Gbps), gigabit LAN, 4 USB 3.0 ports and 4 USB 2.0 ports. The board has a 8+4+2 Digital Phase power design and military-standard chokes, caps and MOSFETs.
