Gainward launches GeForce GTX 680 Phantom 4GB

Gainward GTX 680 Phantom 4GB

Gainward has officially launched its GeForce GTX 680 Phantom 4GB edition card which adds 2GB of memory to the standard GTX 680 Phantom. The GTX 680 Phantom 4GB uses Gainward’s Phantom II cooler and has a core clock speed of 1,006MHz with a boost clock speed of 1,058MHz. The 4GB of GDDR5 is clocked at an effective speed of 6,008MHz.

The cooler uses two fans which are placed under the cooler and just above the PCB which is intended to reduce noise and improve cooling. Four heatpipes draw heat away from the GPU and transfers it to the 240mm aluminium heat sink. The GTX 680 Phantom 4GB comes with QuattroPorts support that allows up to four displays to be connected to the single card.

A father, a gamer and a hardware madman. If it can be overclocked, watercooled or tweaked then I want it.

I followed the link to the source as well. I like what they have done with the DVI ports, still gives the vent almost a full slot of exhaust like the AMDs are doing now.

I don’t think that 4 GB makes a difference, unless you running a lot of monitors but I hope it’s efficient
