House of the Dead 4 lands on PSN

HotD Head

SEGA’s House of the Dead 4 has hopped out of the arcades and onto PSN, converted to HD and with PS Move support. Players can now take on the 8 levels and 28 enemy types with grenades and an assault rifle for around $9.99 for the downloadable title. The conversion features co-op play as well as (apparently) a PlayStation Home reward tucked away in there somewhere.

Originally released for arcades in 2005, The House of the Dead 4 added a number of new features to the core light gun action players have come to expect from the series, including hidden rooms that contain score-boosting items and interactive sequences that force players to push away grabby enemies.

G3AR's Online Editor (Ninja Edition) and scourge of all the writers on the website. I spend almost as much time gaming as I do reading (that's saying something), so there is little time for sleep. Don't play MMOs because I'd never get anything done, ever.

So they punting an old remake, for tech that no one uses and offering rewards on a service that no one cares about.

Pity that this won’t be as well received as they expect it to be.
