Google Drive is the internet giant’s answer to Dropbox , iCloud and other cloud storage services. The Google Drive service will be free to all those with a Google account and will provide 5GB of free storage to all users which easily trumps the 2GB offered by Dropbox (unless you haven’t invited all your friends).
The service is expected to be announced on the 24th April 2012. Users will be able to purchase more space if required but the pricing for those options has yet to be announced (or leaked). Google’s power will be in the ability for users to consolidate all their cloud usage onto one platform. Accessing your Google Drive through Google Docs then emailing a shared folder using Gmail. And Android integration will hopefully be there from the start.

Sounds interesting, it’s a bit more of a mission to email stuff off of my dropbox when using it on my phone.
*sigh*. Google with another “me-too!” product. It’s gonna need some killer features to be a Dropbox-beater. We’ll see.
