PSN down today

PSN will be down today for 13 hours due to scheduled maintenance. The outage will commence at 3pm CAT and will end at 6am tomorrow morning. The downtime will affect the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management and online play. Furthermore the downtime will also affect other PSN websites like the PlayStation Blog.

Sony has not listed what the downtime will entail so for now we can assume it’s just the standard oil change, even if it’s enough time to rebuild and entire car engine. Sony is suggesting that any users who want to receive up-to-date information on the downtime follow the PlayStation Twitter account.

Holy hell that is a long period to be down for.
Sony much enjoy evenings with villagers outside lighting the sky with fire and pitchforks
