Namco Bandai Games have announced that the number one best selling manga of all time, One Piece, will be coming to the Playstation 3 in an all-new game based on the series called One Piece: Pirate Warriors. Developers Omega Force/Tecmo Koei Games will be bringing the game to the PS3 with the promise of frenzied action taken straight out of the beloved Dynasty Warriors franchise.
The game, which is based around a pirate adventure, will take players across the world as the battle against an assortment of enemies from marines to other pirates and features many of the towns familiar to the fans of the manga series. Players will also get to take control of some of the favourites from the manga such as Luffy, Zoro, Nami and many others. Pirate Warriors will also feature the characteristics each character is renowned for.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors will use the combat controls used in the Dynasty Warriors games while providing a story which will thrust players right into the action in the One Piece world.
No exact release date has been announced but Namco Bandai have confirmed that the game will be coming to the PS Store sometime in 2012 and it seems like it will be worth keeping an eye on.

Hellz yea. Will def be picking this up.
The Kotaku review was upfront about their skepticism due to it’s Dynasty Warriors roots… (If you’ve ever played Dynasty Warriors: Gundam you will understand) but gave it a great review despite of this. Saying it managed to break away from the bland repetition of its predecessors. I’m very interested in checking this out. (and shouting GOMU GOMU NO!! as i furiously tap square)
