Bullet-time for your phone, Max Payne-style

In the buildup towards the release of Max Payne 3 next month the original Max Payne, developed by Remedy Entertainment, was released globally today for iOS. The game is selling for around R23 and is just over 1GB in size. The game will work on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, and all generations of the iPad.

New improvements to the mobile version include HD graphics and high-resolution textures. The one concern  we are sure is on many gamer’s minds is how well will the controls work with a touchscreen interface? The touchscreen is not the best option when it comes to shooters, so we will have to see if this mobile version can keep your fingers from going into a spasm. Don’t be surprised if your friends don’t pick up their phones today, as they might be soaring through the air in slow motion dispatching thugs with headshots.

Android users are going to have to wait a little longer as Max Payne Mobile only lands on the 26th of April for them.
