Assassin’s Creed 3 setting pre-order records – Ubisoft

AC3

Assassin’s Creed 3 is setting pre-order records in North America, according to Ubisoft. The upcoming sequel titles hasn’t become the most-ordered Assassin’s Creed just yet but it is raking in reservations faster than any other title in the series.

AC 3 has had 10 times the pre-orders that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the previous most-ordered title, managed in the same time period (three weeks) following the official announcement. The new title has already beaten the lifetime pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood as well. Ubisoft expects that Assassin’s Creed 3 will surpass orders for Revelations some time in June this year.

Ubisoft’s pre-order figures have only factored in North America. Europe, Asia and the Middle East (along with Africa) do not have stats available for the title just yet.

All this without the public ever seeing any gameplay.

If the gameplay is 80-90% the same, then I’m in. An Assassin’s Creed game is really a very nice package, (usually) excellent SP with a lengthy campaign, and then the MP as well.

I haven’t seen any gameplay either lol, but I am SUPER amped. Saw the 10 reasons why it’ll blow your mind article thing and I cannot wait to see what it’s like.

It’s only like R300 – R400 on PC, so not too expensive as a game that even if it sucks, still has a fun aspect to it.

I feel this game will be the redemption of the series. It’s sad they sacrificed the integrity of Revelations for this though. Ezio deserved a better farewell.
