Resi Chronicles HD Collection announced

Resi HD Head

Another HD collection has been announced and this once doesn’t come from Konami. The Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection is due out on PlayStation 3 via PSN in June this year. There are apparently no plans for an Xbox 360 version at the moment but we failed to spot the words ‘exclusively for PS3′ anywhere so it might still happen.

The Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection consists of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, suitable remastered for bigger screens.

Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection will offer gamers the chance to relive the Resident Evil™ story so far. The intense shooter gameplay from both titles is back as players attempt to survive the horror alone or with a friend in co-op mode, earning trophies as they go. PlayStation®Move technology brings the action to life, with the player using the motion controller as their weapon. The title can also be enjoyed with the wireless controller, providing seamless gameplay without a motion control accessory.”

The formerly-Wii only titles will also be getting separate retail releases at an undisclosed time and place, hopefully one free of zombies. We have a chunk of screens from the upcoming Collection for you in the meantime.

G3AR's Online Editor (Ninja Edition) and scourge of all the writers on the website. I spend almost as much time gaming as I do reading (that's saying something), so there is little time for sleep. Don't play MMOs because I'd never get anything done, ever.

Cool, I’ve never played those RE games before and now I’ll get my chance :) .

Both are great rail based shooters. Good fun.

Maybe I should get the PS Move Sharp Shooter :) .

I own one of those Earthworm Jim guns (http://goo.gl/YhAcD) and it works damn well with House of the Dead Overkill on PS3.
