Final Fantasy 13-3 – It’s not happening

Those who have had the opportunity to complete Final Fantasy XIII-2 would have noticed “to be continued” at the end of game. It had everyone up in arms as this was a first for the franchise but had others believing that we can expect Final Fantasy XIII-3. That does not seem to be the case.

Motomu Toriyama, Director, shed some light on the matter to Japanese Press at the Taipei Game Show. The chance for players to experience all the Paradox Endings was one reason, but the more prominent reason was that DLC has been planned to extend the adventure for players. The first DLC will have players playing with Lightning and Amador in Coliseum Battle mode (which lands 7 Feb on Xbox Live and 8 Feb on PSN).

Sources claim that there is a big Lightning episode incoming and speculates that episodes that involve Snow and Sazh are expected.

Who cares about FFXIII-3. What happened to FFXIII Versus?!

I have this feeling that it’ll join Final Fantasy VII HD Remake, if you know what I mean?

Well, that’s kind of cheap. Developers are really getting out of hand with DLC and this is kind of stupid.

The only motivation I have to play XIII-2 is this infamous ending.

Might have to give it a bash just so I can talk crap about it on the internet.

FFXIII-2 is much better than XIII in my opinion. You might very well love it.

I’m one of the few fools that kinda enjoyed FFXIII, I just burnt out on chapter 12.

I’ll con my friend into buying and steal his copy ^^,

I feel that only once you entered Grand Pulse that the game came alive, but up to that point it was rather disappointing. FFXIII-2 makes up for it in a massive way.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was rather well made. As an improvement to it’s predecessor, I’d say that game was amazingly done. The music still sucks though :/ One question still stands… Why on earth are they taking so long to release Versus XIII??? I’ve been waiting two long years for that one.. :(

The music sucks ? :( I thought it was quite well done.

And thank goodness SE said no to FFXIII-3. That’s just be too much. They should be working on the next FF for the next gen consoles now. Hopefully Versus 13 gets released later this year. Like after E3 or something.

I really need to play XIII-2. Especially before Diablo III. If I don’t do it again, it’s going to join the backlog. :(

It’s rather disappointing that the games ends with such a bad ending :< Feels incomplete
