At NVIDIA’s GeForce LAN 6 event that happened this weekend EVGA showed off its flagship motherboard, the X79 Classified. The X79 Classified uses the Intel X79 chipset which supports Sandy Bridge-E processors with the LGA2011 socket. The motherboard has four DDR3 memory slots for quad channel memory, five PCI-E x16 slots with support for both CrossFire and SLI, two SATA 6Gbps ports and four SATA 3Gbps ports.
The X79 Classified has support for a total of ten USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth, dual gigabit LAN, two eSATA ports, 8 channel audio and the Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons. The board uses passive cooling to cool the chipset and voltage regulation circuitry. EVGA has yet to release a price
