Asus is planning to release its two latest N series notebooks next month. The N55SF and N75SF boast Asus’ SonicMaster technology which not only includes Bang and Olufsen speakers but also codecs and software to enhance the audio experience. Both notebooks will come with an external subwoofer.
The N55SF has a 15.6-inch LED-backlit LCD display and will come in two variants. The first version will have a resolution of 1600×900, its processor will be a Core i5-2410M and will pack in 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive. The second version will have a full HD display, a Core i7-2630QM, 8GB of memory and a 750GB hard drive. Both models will have a GeForce GT 555M 2GB GPU, a 4x Blu-ray drive, an HD webcam, multicard reader, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, USB 3.0 ports and HDMI output.
The N75SF will come with a full HD 17.3-inch LED-backlit LCD, a Core i7-2630QM processor, 8GB of memory, a GeFore GT 555M 2GB GPU, 1.5TB of hard drive space and a 6x Blu-ray drive. The lower spec’ed N55SF will carry a price tag of R11,035 (€1,099) while its higher spec’ed brother will cost R12,270 (€1,229). The N75SF will cost R13, 546 (€1,349).
