Fugitive taunts police through Facebook

Burgos

A New York man who was wanted on charges of domestic violence and harassment of his ex-girlfriend taunted police and who used (note the past tense) Facebook to taunt police has been arrested. Victor Burgos, 29, ended up on Utica’s (Utica, New York) most wanted list after he fled to Brooklyn.

After discovering that he had made his city’s most wanted list Burgos logged onto Facebook and posted “Catch me if you can. I’m in Brooklyn;” as a taunt to police. To add insult to injury Burgos uploaded a video of himself walking into a police station.

Burgos was arrested after US Marshals and the New York City Police Department tracked him down to an apartment in Brooklyn. “He told us via Facebook to come and get him and we did,” said Sergeant Steve Hauck of the Utica Police Department to The New York Daily News.
