Arma heads to Android

Bohemia Interactive has announced that the Arma series will be making the jump to Android platform with the release of ARMA II: Firing Range. The title is only available on NVidia Tegra 2-powered Android devices for the moment and is described as “the ultimate firing range simulation utilizing accurate high-poly weapon models used in the award winning ARMA 2 tactical shooter videogame.

Some of the features listed in the app’s announcement include:

  • Huge array of weapons available to examine and try out.
  • Special weapons (sniper rifles, grenade launchers etc.) coming soon.
  • Several unique firing ranges with customizable game modes.
  • Accurate weapon visuals, sounds and ballistics.
  • Realistic weapon optics.
  • Online leaderboards and achievements.
  • Two adjustable control modes.

It is selling for R 13.26 and can be found on the Android Market.
