The casual market is now funding the hardcore?

While most hardcore gamers can’t stand the notion that the casual market has intruded on their turf, Chairman and CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, believes that hardcore gamers have the casual market to thank:

“It’s a balance. It’s not that we changed the way we do things. We integrated the casual on top of the core. This is helping us spend more money on the high definition titles and is helping us come with more high-definition games.”

“You will see more high definition games this year and next, thanks to the fact that we’ve done well with casual games like Just Dance. To make Just Dance, it’s just 1/10th the cost of Assassin’s Creed.”

Married to a gamer wife who kicks my ass at most shooters I don't take myself very serious. Mario, Kratos, Master Chief, Modern, Retro, Arcade - I live for games, it's as simple as that.
